Terms & Conditions

1. Payment & Booking

1.1 Once your application has been provisionally accepted by LanguageCorps Asia, you will be asked to pay a deposit fee of $500 which is not refundable and the outstanding balance of the course fee must be paid 30 day before your course start date.

1.2 Full fees for the course must be paid at least 30 days prior to the course start date. You may pay fees prior to this date at your convenience.

CANCELLATION: If you cancel your course date with notice more than 30 days prior to the class setart date, and fees except the initial deposit will be fully refunded. There are no refunds for cancellations when notice is given less than 30 days remaining prior to course start date. You may however, choose a different course date to attend within a twelve month period starting from the original course date. All deposit and payments made will apply to the new course date, but are not refundable.

1.3 You can defer start date only once without loss of your fees. You may defer your TEFL / TESOL course start date up to 12 months of your deposit being paid. If you have paid in full you may also defer your TEFL / TESOL course start date once, up to a period of 12 months of your deposit being paid, any deferred start date after the times specified will result in a total loss of fees.

1.4 The deposit can be used as part payment for any course on any date, subject to the availability of places. Applications cannot be transferred or deferred within 30 days of the start of a course that the applicant has agreed to attend. The balance of the course fee must be paid electronically 30 days before the course start date.

1.5 If your course is cancelled for any reason. Your course fee's will be refunded minus your deposit but this may vary due to international currency exchange rates and LanguageCorps Asia will not be liable for any shortfall.

1.5 LanguageCorps Asia have never cancelled a course due to lack of numbers however, If for any reason a course has to be cancelled for any reason we can offer you the following options.

a) A place on an alternative course date and/or location

1.6 You are requested NOT to book flights or make any travel arrangements until you have received a second written confirmation of your placement from LanguageCorps Asia authorized staff. (You will receive this second confirmation within 7 days of making your deposit payment)

1.7 LanguageCorps Asia will not be held responsible for compensating or reimbursing any travel or accommodation costs, including flights and all other related expenses, under any circumstances whatsoever.

1.8 All students are subject to the disciplinary regulations of the training centre. The course director's decision is final. No refund will be issued to any student who is expelled from a TEFL / TESOL course under any circumstances whatsoever.

1.9 LanguageCorps Asia in special circumstances, that is, death of an immediate family member, being a husband, wife, son, daughter or a serious illness in which you are hospitalized will a refund be considered. This will be done on a case by case basis and will require proof in the form that LanguageCorps Asia chooses.

2. Disclaimer

2.1 Your use of LanguageCorps Asia service is at your own risk. Neither LanguageCorps Asia, nor any of its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, agents, representatives or licensers shall be liable to you or anyone else for any loss or injury or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or similar damages arising out of your access or use of, or your inability to access or use, the service and the sites and the information available on the service and the sites or arising out of any action taken in response to or as a result of any information available on the service and the sites. You hereby waive any and all claims against LanguageCorps Asia, and its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, agents, representatives and licensers arising out of your use of the service and the sites and the information available thereon.

2.2 LanguageCorps Asia have tried to make the information on this web site as accurate as possible, but it is provided 'as is' and we accept no responsibility for any loss, injury or inconvenience sustained by anyone resulting from this information. You should verify critical information (like visas, health and safety, customs and transportation) with the relevant authorities before you travel.

3. Job Placement

3.1 All LanguageCorps Asia approved TEFL / TESOL certificates are accepted throughout the world by reputable organizations who employ English Language teachers. This means that you will most likely secure a teaching job before, or shortly after, you complete your TEFL / TESOL course.

3.2 Please remember that all job placements are subject to an interview by the prospective employer. Due to the high number of sub standard applications ESL employers now receive by email we strongly recommend that you call, or visit prospective employers in person, rather than applying by email, to have any hope of a receiving a reply.

3.3 To date, we have not had one single course graduate wanting to teach, who has failed to secure a teaching position in Asia. However, due to the many dynamics involved in the job recruitment and selection process we are unable to offer a refund of the deposit or course fees to any graduate who is unable to secure any teaching placement under any circumstances whatsoever.

3.4 All candidates will be provided the contact details of our job placement coordinator who can arrange job placements in the country of training/teaching practice. You will also get the personal contact details of a reputable employer who is currently looking for teachers and have agreed to give top priority to applications from LanguageCorps Asia graduates. It is your responsibility to contact the prospective employers by telephone or in person, present yourself professionally and arrive on time at the job interview. If, according to the interviewer, we are informed that you did not present yourself properly, or that you arrived late for the job interview, you are fully responsible for your actions.

3.5 Flights, travel insurance and all travel expenses to and from the choosen country are NOT included in the course fees.

4. Company

4.1 LanguageCorps Asia Company Ltd. is a licensed Cambodian company.

1. LanguageCorps Asia is accessible worldwide to anyone with Internet access. Access to and use of the Service and the Site are subject to the terms and conditions of this User Agreement and Copyright Notice and all applicable laws and regulations, including laws and regulations governing copyright and trademark. BY ACCESSING THE SERVICE AND THE SITE, YOU ACCEPT, WITHOUT LIMITATION OR QUALIFICATION, ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THIS USER AGREEMENT. LanguageCorps reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. The changes will appear on this screen. By using the Service and the Site, you agree in advance to accept any changes.

2. We reserve the right to deny any user access to this website or any area of this site without notice.

3. The materials used and displayed on the Service and the Site, including but not limited to text, photographs, graphics, illustrations and artwork, video, music and sound, and names, logos, trademarks and service marks, are the property of LanguageCorps Asia and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Any such content may be displayed solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to modify, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast or circulate any such material without the written permission of LanguageCorps.

4. The Service and the Site contains information, facts and opinions from various individuals and organizations. THE SERVICE AND THE SITE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF TITLE OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OTHER THAN THOSE WARRANTIES WHICH ARE IMPOSED BY AND INCAPABLE OF EXCLUSION, RESTRICTION OR MODIFICATION UNDER THE LAWS APPLICABLE TO THIS AGREEMENT. NEITHER LANGUAGECORPS NOR ITS AFFILIATES ENDORSE OR ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY OPINION, ADVICE OR STATEMENT ON THE SERVICE OR THE SITES.

5. Your use of the Service and the Sites is at your own risk. NEITHER LANGUAGECORPS, NOR ANY OF ITS SUBSIDIARIES, DIVISIONS, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES OR LICENSORS SHALL BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE FOR ANY LOSS OR INJURY OR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR SIMILAR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS OR USE OF, OR YOUR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE AND THE SITES AND THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON THE SERVICE AND THE SITES OR ARISING OUT OF ANY ACTION TAKEN IN RESPONSE TO OR AS A RESULT OF ANY INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON THE SERVICE AND THE SITES. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AGAINST LANGUAGECORP, AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES, DIVISIONS, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES AND LICENSORS ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE AND THE SITES AND THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE THEREON.

6. Any communication or material you post or transmit to the Service and/or the Sites is, and will be treated as, non-confidential and non-proprietary. You assume full responsibility for anything you post or transmit, and you grant LanguageCorps and its affiliates the right to edit, copy, publish and distribute any information or content you post or transmit for any purpose.

7. LanguageCorps Asia and its affiliates do not review or monitor any web sites linked to the Service and the Sites and are not responsible for the content or behavior of any such linked web sites. Your linking to such web sites is at your own risk.

8. This User Agreement and any disputes arising out of or related to the Service and the Sites shall be governed by, and construed and enforced in accordance with, the laws of the State of Delaware.
